1. The service
Echo is an Android application that converts text you provide — documents, articles, and URLs — into speech using an on-device voice engine, plus an optional community library and companion website (echomana.com). By using Echo or this website, you agree to these terms.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you read with Echo. You are responsible for having the right to use the content you import. Personal, on-device narration of content you lawfully possess is your business — Echo does not monitor, filter, or censor what you read on your own device.
3. Community library
Submitting content to the community library makes it available to other users. You may only submit content you own, that is in the public domain, or that you are otherwise licensed to distribute. We may remove submissions that infringe rights, are unlawful, or violate these terms, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.
4. Free tier and Premium
Echo's core features are free. Optional Premium subscriptions ($9.99/month or $59.99/year, prices may vary by region) unlock signature narrator voices and future premium perks, and are billed and managed through Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Google Play settings.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Echo or this website to violate the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, or disrupt the service. Don't misrepresent generated audio of third-party content as officially licensed audiobook productions.
6. Disclaimers
Echo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated narration may occasionally mispronounce or misread text. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app or website.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as Echo evolves (for example, when author publishing and audio-export features launch). We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify users in the app.
