Our mission
Echo was born from a simple frustration: millions of great books, research papers, and documents exist only as text. For people who learn better through audio, who have visual impairments, or who simply want to consume content on the go, this means missing out on a vast universe of knowledge and stories.
We built Echo to bridge that gap. Using an on-device Kokoro voice engine that we have extensively customized for long-form listening, Echo converts any document, article, or URL into natural-sounding audio that is genuinely pleasant to listen to for hours. A deep pronunciation layer — plus a personal dictionary you can teach — makes sure names, places, and technical terms sound right.
Our goal is not to replace human narrators. It is to expand the universe of content that exists in audio form, making literature and knowledge accessible to everyone, everywhere.
